Community Can challenge

Paying Food Forward, One Step at a time.

Where it began

Due to the current protocol and our deed to play our part in fighting against the Corona Virus. Please follow the button below as an active link to the official Government’s main Covid-19 website for all information and updates relating to the virus.

Balcony 45km Challenge

Morné Green, successfully completed his balcony challenge where his objective was to complete 45kms on his 13-metre-long balcony. He completed the 45km in 5 hrs 44 mins with a total of 49,902 steps.

The idea developed after Morne completed his balcony challenge and while on the bike, Harshil Mitha bounced his concept of raising a can or rand per step in Morne’s 45km challenge.

Together with local businesses such as TwoRedPens Marketing Agency, Crossing Spar, The Grove Spar and Penreach, we have developed the concept of raising a can for a step in aid of those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We would like to challenge all Lowvelders to do their part in paying it forward by contributing 1 can or more of food in correlation to the number of steps completed.
